This and every program year of the Parks and Recreation Department offers residents more choices and better facilities.  The expansion of the Anderson Recreation Center creates new opportunities for people of all ages to participate in sports, fitness, entertainment, education and enrichment activities.
The Anderson Recreation Center is Located at 111 Oceanside Road
Hours of Operation:
9:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. Monday to Friday
9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Saturday
9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Sunday

Athletic playing fields include Mill River Field, Barasch Field and Lister Field. Directions to each follows:

  • Mill River Field: Ocean Ave. south to South Park Ave. Make left and continue to Riverside Drive. Make left and continue to Windsor Ave. Make left into parking lot.

  • Barasch and Lister Field: Ocean Ave. south. Make left onto South Park Ave. Make left onto Chester Rd. and a right into parking lot. Barasch Field is to the right and Lister Field is to the left.
     

The additional playing fields just off of Peninsula Boulevard answer the ever-growing need for sports facilities.
