The Village’s pilot recycling program has been such a success that it is being implemented Village-wide starting on August 20, 2007. Residents should place recyclable plastics at the curbside on the same day and in the same blue bin now used to recycle cans and glass. The Village’s drop-off sites for plastics recycling are being phased out.

1. Recycle plastic food, beverage and product containers.
    

2. DO NOT recycle plastics used in toys, furniture, utensils and tableware.
    

3. If you accumulate more glass, cans and plastic than will fit into your blue recycling bin, place the overflow into a CLEAR plastic bag ONLY and leave it at the curbside. Or you may dedicate an extra trash container to recyclables. Call the Sanitation Department at 678-9216 for a recycling decal to place on the container.
