Exterior Design Review Guidelines for One or Two Family Dwellings
* Excerpt from Village Code Section 330-2
*Exterior design review:

The purpose of this article is to preserve and promote the character and appearance of the Village of Rockville Centre through exterior design review. Buildings and structures that are visually offensive or inappropriate due to poor exterior design quality mar the appearance of the Village, impair the use, enjoyment and desirability and reduce the values of properties. In addition, such buildings and structures are detrimental to the character of the neighborhoods and prevent the most appropriate development and utilization of land, and therefore adversely affect the functioning, economic stability, prosperity, health, safety and general welfare of the entire community. The purpose also is to ensure that the aesthetic quality of such design conforms to the character of the neighborhood.
